This time we are going to focus on Nattalingo.

Nathalie Paris, AKA Nattalingo, or even the Geordie French storyteller, offers her knowledge and experience to help you help your children learn French, be it in a school setting or at home.

What does your business do?

“I support schools and families who want their child(ren) to learn French a little differently and to develop a positive attitude towards language learning.”

Tell us about your main services & / or products?

Schools: I support their work with regular and ad-hoc teaching of French, I deliver training, I run workshops with the children and I specialise in storytelling in French.

Families: I have provided videos and lesson content for free throughout lockdown, and am currently developing an online programme to help families learn French at home.

Conferences: I am available to speak on language teaching and language-related topics.”

What do you love about being in Consett?

“I love that Consett feels like countryside, but has all the amenities that you need on a day-to-day basis, and is well connected to Newcastle and Durham by bus. It is also close to Northumberland, the sea, Scotland… and only 3 hours from London on the train! It is an amazing place to live.”

What do you like to do in Consett?

“My favourite thing is to go for walks from my house and discover new paths; I love rowing on the river Derwent at Ebchester Boat Club.”

Where do you like to go in Consett?

“I enjoy going on the Derwent Walk and stopping off at the Derwent Walk Inn; I also go to the local shops weekly, really enjoy it and support unique local businesses at the same time.”

Do you have any special memories of Consett you’d like to share?

“Like many people during lockdown, I have felt very lucky to live and work in Consett, as I have been able to explore the local area, on foot, more than I normally take time to do. Those walks and the many beautiful photos that I have taken will be some of my favourite memories of lockdown. We live in such a beautiful place. I am very grateful for it and have shared this feeling with many other ramblers on the way!”
